MAY - Many Mini Mongrels

Yes the above picture is of my purebred Golden Retriever Bailey with… alas… black puppies.  Strange how things happen… 2 minutes is all it takes.  Let that be a lesson for all you young ones reading this… wait until marriage!!

So when Bailey started having her puppies – all was normal for the first one.  Although, after 2 hours of pushing to get the second one out, Jeremy & I knew there was something wrong.  So what would any normal pet owner do when their mommy dog has a stuck puppy?  Well grab a latex glove and Vaseline, of course!  So in I went and I soon discovered that puppy #2 was breech, or trying to come out sideways; all I could see and grab a hold of was a tiny little black paw but I could not grasp it because of the Vaseline.  I also could not push him back in to Bailey to position him right because the last 2 hours of pushing had made the next puppies crammed up behind him.  So my ingenious husband grabbed some string and made a slipknot and looped the puppy’s foot and pulled him out!  Within 4 minutes of that miracle puppy coming out we had 7 wet and squirming puppies all making their way to find milk!  Talk about a landslide of puppies!!

Anyways – so now we have 11 healthy growing puppies; some black with white paws, some all black, some blonde with black paw pads, some blonde with pink paw pads, and 2 Rottie looking ones (yes they have the markings like a Rottweiler).  So we think that they are Golden Retriever cross Golden Lab… ish.  We are going to have to leave it at that because we have no idea what the daddy was, though I starred him down many mornings as I would let Bailey out to go that bathroom.

WANT ONE??  They are “By Donation Only”... or best offer!!
